I am a qualified Dental Surgeon in the United Kingdom although i am aware that the primary dental degree in this country (Bachelor of Dental Surgery ,BDS) is not considered equivalent in the United Stated. Therefore, i was wondering, to practice in the United States do i have to obtain another degree or do i have to sit other examinations to be allowed in practice?

I never been to a dental cleaning before… my dentist told me my wisdom teeth are compacted so i need to removed them with an oral surgeon..the point is that Ive never done any deep cleaning with the dentist should i do it before getting my wisdom teeth removed? or just go directly with the surgeon?
